When adults volunteer, all students benefit! There are many opportunities for our members to get involved. Your help is needed and there are opportunities for all levels of time commitment!

To prepare for your volunteer time, please complete the BISD Volunteer Application process online.  (All volunteers are required to do a background check before working with students.)

We know a lot of this happens during the day while you are at work, but never fear! We have activities that may still work WITH your busy schedule!  Some tasks can be done at home or during after school sporting events. Please sign up for the committees that you find interesting so that you can be notified when we need help.

BMSS PTO Committees

Blessings in a Backpack - Help package food bags and deliver them to counselors to be handed out to our students in need. This group is outside of our campus, but we like to give a list of volunteers interested in helping each year. 

Fun(d) Food Days - Prepare meal deals and hand food out to the students at our Chick-fil-A Days. 

Fundraising - Help contact business sponsors and set up dine outs. 

Library - Check books in and out, reshelf returned books, and assist the librarian in the BMSS library.

Merchandise/Spirit Wear - Package and deliver spirit wear orders and sell spirit wear at school events.

Staff Appreciation - Help our faculty show how much we appreciate them! We honor our staff almost every month of the school year. Some events are full-blown luncheons while others may just be bringing in a small treat. We need help with preparing food donations, serving lunches, decorating, and more.

Teacher Spotlight - Coordinate a gift and presentation to the teachers who are voted as school favorites by the students.
